Spotlessly clean. I arrived late, but they'd left a key in a safe place and were lovely when I called to get in. Good sized car park. Great location. Lovely town. Worth a walk into the town, although it was dead by 9.30pm. I loved the place and I only chose it because it was convenient to come off the A1 on my way from Edinburgh to London. A nice find.
Great location. everything is clean. Good breakfast. Kids loved the bunk beds. The water pressure in the shower was also good. I would definitely like to come back again.
Tired. Carpets in bedroom and throughout hotel are disgusting and dirty. The interior generally throughout needs a complete revamp. Everything looks worn. I would rather pay more and have a better, cleaner environment. The view from my bedroom was a good example of neglect. Youth hostels have higher standards than this. The man at reception had attitude. Unfortunately, I didn't take his name. However, everyone else were charming and most helpful.
The staff at the hotel were very friendly, the lounge bar was lovely and the food was great. Great location too. We stayed in one of the cottages (No. 3), which was spacious - if you were with a group of friends and wanted somewhere cheap and cheerful then it would be good. Out cottage had 4 single beds - so great for a group of pals.
Great location for seeing tourist attractions. Restaurants, pubs, cafes, and takeaways near. Safe free parking very close. Apartment well equipped. Good internet connection.
