Boasting a garden, Gîte Les Pingouins du Phare is set in Plouguerneau in the Brittany region, 32 km from National Maritime Museum, Brest and 29 km from National Botanical Conservatory of Brest. Loved this room. Clean, fresh and light. The bathroom was enormous and is also wheelchair accessible. The beds comfortable and the location perfect for accessing the beach in Lilia. My favourite place that I stayed on my cycling Brittany holiday.

Totally unusual place to stay and as it happened we were the only people there that night! Apparently it's usually full at weekends with large wedding groups- total bed space for 65 people. It is run by the Mairie ( local authority). Very good value. Really friendly staff. Bicycles stored in locked garage and we were the only ones who had a key! Great breakfast and superb view of the chateau to wake up to in the morning.
