Very clean and cosy, great kitchen facilities, good bathrooms, very friendly staff who were very accommodating and let me stay in the living space past check out while I waited for my flight.

Facing the beachfront, Nuoriso- ja luontomatkailukeskus Oivanki offers 2-star accommodation in Oivanki and has a fitness centre, garden and private beach area. I had a very pleasant stay at Oivanki. The accomodation was located in a very spacious and calm area, on the edge of a lake. From the back terrace I saw some reindeer grazing. The room was basic, and I had to put the sheets on the bed myself, but that didn't bother me at all. I can imagine it can get quite busy here when groups of school children come to visit, but as it was, I was one of only two guests in the building at the moment, and everything was very quiet. Breakfast was served in the main building and included some rice porridge, a selection of cereals and muesli and some bread and salad. Just what I needed. The restaurant was closed on saturday, so if you're planning to prepare something yourself, it's best to stock up in Kuusamo before you come here. There are no shops or restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
