Loved the decor and staff was so helpful. We brought our own food for dinner and breakfast and ate in the shared kitchen. We were able to keep our backpacks there after checkout. It’s about 20 min walk from train station and 15 min walk to center of town.

The only problem we had was check in procedure requires Co ordination with the owner via phone and as travelers we didn't have mobile calling facilities. Offering a quiet location in Jena city centre, this hostel is located just 950 metres from the historic Botanical Gardens. Hostel Jena features a shared fully equipped kitchen and modern rooms and dormitories. Located close to the city, but quiet. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was spacious. Plenty of bathrooms which were also very clean. Staff was nice and the WiFi was stable and fast
