Hostel Merlin is attractively situated in Český Krumlov, and has a shared lounge, free WiFi and a terrace. I got upgraded, free of charge, to a private room (after having booked a bed in a mixed dorm). The room was lovely, hotel-like, both check-in and checkout were smooth, and the cleaning lady as well as the receptionist, Alex, were friendly.

Featuring a stylish Cuban bar and free Wi-Fi, this hostel is located in a historic building in the centre of Ceske Budejovice. Premysl Otakar II Square is a 5-minute walk away. I changed my booking to a solo room when I was checking in. The receptionist at that time (tall, tattoed lady) was incredibly helpful and made it work. She was very nice and approachable through all my encounters with her. The Room is incredibly spacious and enough to house 4 people. Its clean and well kept. Location wise, walking distance to thr square (7mins) and the main bus station (15mins). For those concerned, you dont need to go thru the bar to get to your room, although its above the bar it has a separate entrance.

Located within 22 km of Chateau Hluboká and 32 km of Black Tower, Ubytování nad Vltavou features rooms in Týn nad Vltavou. Wonderful one-night stay. They seem to spread out guests, so it felt really private. The kitchen is pretty bare, but there is a hot plate and microwave. The staff did not speak English, but it was no problem at all. Beds were comfortable. Loved the big windows. Several grocery stores nearby.
