I basically paid £9 or 45,000 pesos for a private ensuite Gonzalo looked after me and we had conversations through Google translate. He was so accommodating. Doing laundry, being attentive with delicious food. I would most certainly come back again. Remember to being cash - as most places in Tayrona take cash only. La Fonda were very accommodating and took care and so did Tayrona entrance I'd recommend this place to anyone, it is the essence on tranquil

Boasting a garden, Teiku Cabañas is set in El Zaino in the Magdalena region, 47 km from Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino. EVERYTHING You should really really go there we will be back 100% ! The staff is amazing. The rooms are fabulous! really. there is a community as well in the same location you can meet many people and even volunteer and they sell many local things there. Like locally made cacao, muchilas, nacklesses etc. So you can support the local community. We got to go on a 2 day hike and tour of the local mayan community in the mountains it was incredible! And we did a cacoa tour in a local cooperative and got to roast the cacao and pill it and be part of the whole process. In a walking distance there are many things you can do and many small communities and businesses that you should really checkout as well. Also, the beach is a short bus ride away. and Tayrona park as well. We stayed for two weeks. it was EPIC!
