Offering a terrace and views of the mountain, Color Hostel is located in Palomino. Free private parking is available on site. The property is 1.5 km from the beach. There are not enough words to describe how amazing our stay was in Color Hostel. I was quite sick with food poisoning when we arrived and Claudia went above and beyond to help me. She made me my own soup and was always checking in on us or recommending things to help me. The food here is absolutely incredible. We ate every single meal here and it was always absolutely delicious. The pool is really nice and our room was huge. It’s so peaceful here but only a 5 minute walk to the Main Street and a 10 min walk to the beach. All of the staff are so so kind and helpful. We extended our stay multiple times and we were gutted when we finally had to leave.

Hostal La Media Luna Palomino is located among the scenic trees and plants of Palomino and only 1 km away from the nearest beach. The open-air hostel offers a shared lounge. Carlos has done an amazing job with this hostel. It was exactly what we needed. Best sleep since being in Colombia! Love all the dogs and cats! The staff are all friendly. The natural pool is stunning. The fruit trees are incredible. A true paradise. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful. Fully recommend!

Rancheria Utta is located in Cabo de la Vela. It is a simple property that offers a private beach area, restaurant and a small market on site. Simple, neat, clean. No electricity in the huts during the day but only after 5pm. You don’t go to a place like this for the luxury. There is a standing fan which comes very handy in the evenings. The towels were very fresh. The hammocks are being put upon request at the porch. Great feature.

Hostel Laguna Salá By FSL has an outdoor swimming pool, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Ríohacha. Just a great place to stay - more like a mini resort than a hostel - I booked for another 4 nights
