Offering free WiFi connection in all areas, El Caracol is located 450 metres from Caldas Park and just 550 metres from El Morro del Tucán archaeological site. Very cosy place, comfortable room (studio with a kitchen), delicious breakfast (for an extra fee, very reasonably priced) and very friendly helpful staff. Nice views over the white city. The hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood. While it is not in the center of the Popayan, the heritage part of the town starts just in a couple of hundreds meters from the hotel and it takes 10 min on foot to Parque caldas (the central square of Popayan). Will chose this place again, especially if I am to stay in Popayan for more than 1 day.
