Both nights I stayed there I spent the late evening hanging out in the lobby with the staff and other guests, playing card and board games as well as chatting. I was speaking in Chinese the entire time so if you do not know the language you may need to use translation apps etc to communicate but the staff are used to foreign guests so you should not face any problems.
