The hostel offers both guestrooms and beds in dormitory with air conditioning. Guestrooms are equipped with a private bathroom with shower. For the dormitories, a shared bathroom is fitted with shower. It is an English-style inn (a pub downstairs and rooms upstairs) but a real backpacker hostel. The room was clean and comfortable enough. I loved the cool style of the building. The location is superb, at the edge of the central tourist district, within walking distance to many many shops, restaurants, Qianmen shopping street, Qianmen metro station and Tienmen Square (10 mins walk) The staff is really nice and friendly. We had dinner in the pub, good western food (fish 'n chips). It's a good value for many. I would definitely return next time.

Owned by a talented flower artist, Peking Youth Hostel is housed in a traditional Chinese building located along the lively Nanluogu Xiang, one of the famous Hutongs in downtown Beijing. A short 5-minute stroll from Houhai bar area, the hostel features a charming garden and colourful rooms with air conditioning. Free WiFi is available in all areas. The staff is very cooperating, as there is very few that understands and talk in english.

Great location, most attractive attractions within walking distance (Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square are about 10-15 minutes from the Happy Dragon Hostel). As bonus, free coffee from the coffee machine (invigorates you so you can’t fall asleep all night) and power banks on the way out. I really liked the staff, always ready to help! I recommend this hostel especially for solo travel!
Excellent location, 24 hour reception, good backpacker vibes, it was easy to make friends and go out to dinner. I don't understand the horrible reviews on hostel world, the place was fine (although it helps if you speak Chinese or have experience in 1 star Chinese hotels)
Comfy bed, social, washing machine, sold drinks and snacks, bathroom was cleaned regularly, lots of common areas. Cheapest place available in Beijing (although still expensive for what it was). A great location near the subway and a small shop was nearby.
Great Location, close to the China Great Wall main Entrance. David (our Host) was amazing, he speaks very good English and helped us with whatever we needed there. We enjoyed our Stay there and will stay definately once again with him. Room was clean and very cheap
easy to walk to public transportion systen, cheap good restaurants near, quiet road, good coffee, but coffee machine needs attension by personnel, roons are equipped with water cooker,simple, but without safe or small refridgerator; good working wifi, stairs to the upper rooms, male personnel helpful to bring luggage up or down, english knowledge of personnel restricted, but most of them trying to help with translator, rooms are cleaned every day with refilling of contemplary water
As a solo backpacker I almost booked an overpriced hostel which was less then 30% cheaper than this but had average reviews. I’m so glad I booked this instead. It’s easily a 4 or 5 star hotel, with everything you need, while it’s not that expensive at all compared to the region. Staff is helpful, breakfast is extremely good and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Overall a really pleasant stay and so much more comfort and luxury. Free gym, free water, free coffee (good one even) and so on.
great location, nice variety of local breakfast, safe and quiet area. Also well connect to subway to get anywhere. restaurants and supermarkets nearby. temple of heaven and opposite site local garden a place to visit!
Great location, comfortable atmosphere and safe environment. Ms. Yasiming is very friendly and helpful. She replied all questions right away on We chat app. Her office is located just at the down floor, you can reach her easily. During staying 6days we asked cleaning and changing towels and she managed it for free. Also she offers luggage keeping service too. Strongly recommended!
Great locations close to metro and bus to Chaoyang Station. Nearby Cafe Duet et serves excellent coffee. No hassle check in and a safe budget location. Good base for business people or tourists on a budget. HASSLE FREE.
