The castle-like Youth Hostel Schaffhausen is a 20-minute walk from the Munot and Old Town. Lovely old house surrounded by gorgeous big trees and green space. Very friendly staff, and convenient parking!

The Federnhut is a backpackers' hostel situated 70 metres from the Rhine River, 150 metres from the vineyards of the Munot and 900 metres from the Schaffhausen Train Station. Near the downtown of Schaffhausen. Easy to get to Rhine Fall and Stein.

The Hotel Zak is located right in the car-free centre, 3 minutes' walk from the Schaffhausen Train Station. Free Wi-Fi is available in the the entire building. We came in tired after long journey and got offered free drinks. What a nice welcome! That was also not the only surprise. Although we booked a double room for one night, we unexpectedly got an upgrade to a very spacious studio. It was very kind of the owner to offer it to us. Even though the hostel is located above the pub and there was a concert on the street, the windows are pretty good and we spent a very good night. The studio was also clean and well-equipped. The hostel is located very close to a train station and almost in the middle of the old part of Schaffhausen.

The Zak Neuhausen is located in the centre of Neuhausen, only a 7-minute walk from the Rhine Falls. It offers simply furnished rooms and a Terrace. The owners have put their heart and soul into this establishment. Our room was spotless and wonderful. I didn’t want to leave.
