Located at 1,600 metres above sea level in the Brunni skiing and hiking area, opposite Mount Titlis, Berglodge Ristis is only reachable by cable car and offers ski-to-door access and an on-site... the property far exceeded our expectations. we had no idea we had to go up via cable car and the kids loved it. so much for them to do, wish we had stayed longer.

Featuring a shared lounge, Hostel Engelberg "mein Trail Hostel" is set in Engelberg in the Obwalden region, 1.3 km from Titlis Rotair Cable Car and 36 km from Lucerne Station. Nadia and Thomas (and Barry the lovely dog) made me feel so welcome. Breakfast was all organic local food with fresh fruit, bircher muesli... nothing was too much trouble. Comfortable, immaculately clean rooms with a stunning view of the mountains. Straight out the door onto the cobbled streets at the heart of Engelberg.

Located in Engelberg, 500 metres from the Titlis Rotair Cable Car, Engelberg Youth Hostel features a buffet restaurant and a summer terrace. Hostel with rooms for our family of four was nicely clean, welcoming and comfortable. Town center and trail heads a short walk.

Set at an altitude of 2,170 metres above sea level, this hotel is in the skiing, hiking and paragliding area of Melchsee-Frutt, 2 km from the centre. Wonderful hotel, great staff, beautiful location. Would definitely visit again during wintertime. Thank you for being so accommodating with my dog

Located in Lungern, 12 km from Giessbachfälle, Kunst- und Naturfreundehaus Brünig provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Everything was so clean and well decorated with wood worck and art. The location is stunning in the middle of the mountain with lots of hicking trails to do. They even had some cute cats that you can pet!
