Located in the Manaus city centre, Local Hostel Manaus offers free WiFi access. The Amazonas Theatre is 150 metres away. It was always clean, the staff was really friendly and helpful and it’s great for meeting other travellers, the common areas are nice to hang out, you can buy breakfast there - it’s worth it, you get drinking water for free, it’s close to the theatre, there’s bars and restaurants around, most of the staff at the reception speaks English I’ll definitely come back here

Not all the staff spoke English but you can easily use a translator to get the basics for check in. Loved they had a filtered water bottle fill station considering most places just have you buy disposable single use plastic bottles. Staff were very kind.

The rooms have curtains to have more privacy, which is really a good point when there are several of you in a room. The kitchen is perfect, utensils, condiments, spices available. I had to stay there for a long time and I felt at home. I didn't even want to leave. A word of advice: go there with your eyes closed. !
