It didn't feel like a backpackers hotel at all. We were sharing a unit with 3 people. Had our own bathroom and kitchen/lounge area. Others were welcomed to use our unit facilities aswell, but with so small number of guest, it didn't happen often. And when they did, they were always really tidy and friendly. Small pool outside the unit, nice sitting area for morning coffee. All good for chatting with other guests. In the evening the outside area turned into a fairy wonderland, beautiful lighting.

The lockers are spacious, everything is newly renovated, and there’s a ping pong and pool table to hang out. Free laundry, and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend!

Surf Inn Boutique Backpackers on the Gold Coast provides adults-only accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool with sun beds and music. The room was good and clean, the showers were good too. And the staff is great. Also the hostel is close to the beach.
