It has a real homey feel, think ski lodge & that's what it is like. The beds have privacy curtains, the rooms are quite big, the staff are super friendly & the breakfast is great too.

El Refugio Lodge Hostel is located in Ushuaia, 20 km from Tierra del Fuego National Park and 27 km from Castor Hill Ski Center. Awesome hostel! Great kitchen and lounge area. A really good large area for people to hang out and be social. Everyone in the hostel is really friendly. Beds were comfortable and blinds were a bonus for added privacy. Nice bathrooms, always clean. One bathroom for females one for boys which is nice.

The hostel has great energy and very positive vibes...Marcos the manager is also a chef and made my stay so awesome.He cooked us apple pie with ice creams and wine, and some fantastic Gnocci 😊...it's a very basic hostel , good value for what you pay...but it definitely has a wonderful heart ❤️ met some very nice travellers and had a great time in Ushuaia ❤️ Thank you Cruz del Sur
