Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
Great location - central to activities offered in the area and nice, scenic surroundings. Clean, well equipped, communal kitchens and bathrooms. Restaurant, lounge and bar on site, and away from the campsite and sleeping areas, making it quiet and peaceful for those wanting to rest, whilst having entertainment available for those wanting to socialize. Great layout of the facilities.
Very diverse accommodation options, lovely grounds and facilities, great excursions, nice staff, and excellent opportunities to connect with fellow travelers. This is not just a youth hostel. It’s for all.
The backpackers is not near the Amphitheatre walk!! It is a two hour drive away from the start of the walk. The hostel itself was at a beautiful location and was what we expected in terms of cleanliness (it is cheaper than other locations and a hostel). Nice vibes.
We had a great time at Amphitheatre Backpackers Lodge! Very kind and professionell staff, fair prices, good food and a great view on the mountains. Group activities were great to meet new people and to explore the mountains.
We came during a calm period so not every dish was available - what is totally okay. We spend the evening at the bar which is simply an amazing place on its own. The pasta and salad were also good and worth the prize. As we only stayed for one night we booked the cheapest option ( bunk beds) ...although the room was clean we do think that somewhere else you get more for your money considering that bathroom and kitchen are for communal use.
