In low season, the hostel is very quiet. There were 3 guests in total. I had a room to myself. Volunteers were very kind and happy to answer any questions I had.

Moises was really kind and helpful. The garden is so peaceful. The location is perfect for the beach and the main road. The bed was really comfortable.
Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
It’s very well located and everything is clean. The hosts are amazing and make you feel like home. I felt very welcomed. Also, the shower is amazing. Something very important for hostels and it’s very quiet at night even though it’s well located.
For me this place was 10/10. The owners are so incredibly kind. I felt so much at home. And there was more to like: the bed was comfortable, everything was clean, the kitchen is well equipped, breakfast was good, the location is only a few minutes walk from the beach. The city center is a bit further away but you can rent a bike at the hostel and reach the center easily in 15 a 20 min.
The Hostel that doesn‘t let you go on with your travels! The owner is reall nice and easy going and the staff was the best! originally i was supposed to stay 3 nights which quickly turned into 2 weeks! iloved it!
Absolutely fantastic stay at La Brujula. Definitely one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. Rooms very lovely, very clean with individual lockers. Showers were great, with consistent hot water and were kept very clean as were the toilets. There’s a great communal space to relax and the hostel is very close to the beach. Staff are all lovely and very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent too. Overall an amazing experience and very good value for money!
The hostel has plenty of nice areas to relax and socialize, benches, chairs, hammocks - wonderful to meet new people.
All staff members are very warm, friendly and try to help you in any way they can.
The dorm beds are comfy, extra blankets are available. The room has a sufficient number of sockets.
The breakfast is amazing! The kitchen is more or less outdoor, equipped with plenty of pots and pans and usually clean and tidy.
This hostel is the best I've stayed at so far in south America. Everything about the place was amazing - so eco friendly, and a really wholesome family vibe about the place. Also somehow the cheapest place we stayed at, so couldn't ask for more. Staff were always lovely, even though our Spanish was limited. Highly recommend
