I’ve been to a lot of hostels, this stands on the top tier so far. A bit on the expensive side but i get what I’m paying for. The design and the ambience is very cool, they have a pool table nice outside area, great breakfast included, the dorm rooms are neat and spacious, even the lighting is warm and welcoming. It’s June right now and there aren’t many people here, swing by and help make this place alive in the summer too!
The double queen room with private bath was much nicer than I expected, especially for a "hostel". Beds were comfortable and we appreciated the extra pillows and blankets. Was great to have a fridge and microwave in the room. Staff were very friendly. Price was very good, but it was a 20 minute drive (12+ miles) from Telluride.
The hostel building looks like a lodge and blends in very well with the surroundings. It's very cozy and clean. I private rooms are large und has a balcony or a terrace with a view to the woods.
First time I've ever found a hostel of that quality, super cosy and fancy. The stuff is also very nice and helpful.
The rooms are spacious even if with bunk beds.
Spotlessly clean. Very helpful manager. Fantastic breakfast. Nice lounge area.
Note that hostel is just outside Placerville and not actually in Telluride - quieter and cheaper!
We selected this 'Hostel" due to it's location near Telluride for a one night stay. We did end up with a very comfortable room with a king-bed and private bath. It was however on the second floor, way in the back with a balcony (but looking over a weed patch). It was very quiet and a breakfast was included.
