The Orange Drive is in a wonderful location, just off Hollywood Boulevard, and in a really safe area. The building was originally used as a boarding house for Hollywood legends, which was fascinating! The room that we had was so clean, with lovely soft linen. Parking for 10 dollars per day was so worth it. The positive reviews are so true! This place is amazing!

the atmosphere and decor was amazing definatley drew me in I was unsure when booking a hostel but this felt so much like a hotel / film set with the rooms plenty big for the 2 of us. coffee machine and health/beauty extras were also great.

Amazing location, slap bang in middle of Hollywood walk of fame, so handy for sights, buses & metro stop opposite, great for Target store & other food options.

I lived in the 4 bed female dormitory, it was comfortable and big. Good for cheap stay in a prime location. Also, they let me store my luggage for free which was great.
This is by far the best hostel I've ever stayed. It's so clean, friendly and cosy and you can tell the staff take great pride in it. If you're looking for a quiet place in a great location look no further. I'd like to thank Pedro, Bea and all the staff who made my stay so memorable. Everyone was so friendly, cheerful and always willing to help. They made my stay so enjoyable and I can't thank them enough. Already looking forward to my next stay! :-)

Great location, spacious room and big lockers, spacious bathroom and pretty clean, good breakfast, nice common areas, a lot of activities (I didn't participate but it is a nice option especially when travelling solo). They even provided towels (which is not often the case in hostels). With the reception and the key cards it also felt very safe!

Great to find Hummingbirds just up the road. Friendly helpful staff in great location. Lots to do and after catching a number 1 bus up to the Metro you can get anywhere real quick and travel all day with a 5dollar capped Tap bus and train card, magic....Belles bar just opposite Samesun hostel is nice safe bar...
Very clean rooms. It's great for a cheap stay in a rough area. Safe parking with good security. Felt safe, and the room is really nice. Would have no problem staying again!
Wow! Just lovely. A cool vibey hotel with lots going on in the evenings. Great location that felt safe. A short walk to the heart of the touristy part of Hollywood. We walked around until nightfall then got an Uber back to the hotel. We parked in the multi-storey car park on the corner of Argyle Ave and Carlos Ave, which worked out cheaper than hotel parking. We booked a Suite, which was perfect for us and the teens. We requested a roll out bed too as the sofa bed was too small to share. Very spacious.
Everything was fine, but dont expect a hostel vibe like in Asia or Australia where Backpackers come along and chat in the kitchen:) Some of the guest are living long term there and are not really interested in chatting with new people what is totally fine, just to let you know.
Also there is not really a common room to relax and chat with others. But if you are looking for a clean, cheap and nice hostel with small dorms go to this place.
spacious, really safe as you can only enter the hostel with a key. staff clean daily, massive kitchen with plenty of space to cook with multiple people. great location 5 minute walk from the Santa Monica pier, cafes restaurants and shops surrounding with cheap grocery stores around the corner!
