Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Breakfast was delicious. I’ve stayed here 4 times. It’s one of my favorite B&Bs. I love the clean, comfortable property. Great location. I especially like the alpacas and goats!!! Hostess is so sweet and helpful. I’ve always had a wonderful stay.
Trumpeter Inn is a lovely place to spent when visiting San Juan Island. It’s a great location, super quite and idyllic but still very close to Friday Harbor. The entire place is filled love and care, you can feel that Claudia and her family are very passionate about what they are doing. Everyday there is great breakfast, almost all of it being self-made, everyday there are fresh baked cookies and food to feed the lovely goats and Alpakas. After 5 nights at Trumpeter Inn we very sad to leave. We would come back any time!
The hostel was clean and spacious. The lady who was working the desk was very nice.
The kitchen was huge with a fridge, stove, microwave and several dining tables.
The lounge was cozy and offered a variety of entertainment for guests.
The hostel location is well situated to downtown and a 15 minute drive from the American camp.
We had the apartment. Very roomy. Beds not the most comfortable but slept ok. Nice quiet neighborhood. Cool idea: Hostel. Quite a few people coming and going.
Location. Within minutes you can walk to all the restaurants of Friday Harbor. If budget permitted it would be great to see a bistro table and chairs in the backyard to enjoy the serenity of the backyard.
the property is lovely, in a great location and super cosy. bed was comfortable and great to have a fridge in the room. the staff (manager) genuinely made our stay so lovely. I’d book to visit again tomorrow if I could.
