Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
Great space in a converted Woolworth's - roomy, well appointed, clean, directly above the Yazoo Pass restaurant (also in the old Woolworth's). You're just a few steps from the Bluesberry Cafe (blues with breakfast!) and a short walk to all the rest of the local attractions including Ground Zero Blues Club, Cat Head Delta Blues and Folk Art, the excellent Delta Blues Museum, and Red's Cafe. Not cheap, but well worth it if you can afford it.
Amazing house, we were in the Magnolia room in a separate little building at the back of the house. Great location, just a 5 min walk downtown. Provided breakfast in kitchen/fridge was ok. Good info on local bars/restaurants.
Great hostel - although i’d call this more of a hotel given the size of the rooms and the amenities. The staff were so friendly and helpful and it’s right in the centre of the action in Clarksdale, easy to visit all the amazing blues spots right around the corner.
Located right down the road from Ground Zero; it’s a great location. The hostel is clean and I felt at home there. The dorm beds have curtains to help provide more privacy which I appreciated.
This is a great hostel. Very well run, very clean and all the little details are well thought of. One of the best hostels I've been to. Hosts take a lot of time to tell you about Clarksdale and it felt like home straight away. Facilities are excellent.
Great location for visiting the famous blues venues for which the town is now famous. Anne and Chuck are wonderful, hospitable hosts and the facilities are offered in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
This hostel is amazing - it's beautifully decorated, has great facilities and is so clean. Lucy and Robert were extremely friendly and helpful with showing us where to go and what to do during our brief visit. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone coming through Clarksdale and in need of somewhere to stay.
The self-service breakfast was excellent.
In the evening, in addition to non-alcoholic drinks, there was even free red and white wine for all guests.
Our room in the main house was very large, as was the bathroom. The room and house furnishings reminded us a bit of the 1870's. This definitely has its charm, we enjoyed it.
The house is very quiet in a good residential area and the neighborhood is monitored by the police. Therefore, we also felt very safe here.
