Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. My bed was very comfy (I had a double room).
The communal bathroom and kitchen weren't modern but very clean.
Fantastic location in the centre of stone town, easy walking distance of lots of sights and the ferry to prison island etc.
WiFi had great coverage too!

The location was excellent, you could walk anywhere. The staff were lovely. Breakfast was simple but filling. The aircon and WiFi both worked very well. It was handy having an ATM right next door.. the bed was very comfortable.

The location of the room is good. Everything is in walking distance. The rooms are simple, but they are as described and clean. So if that is what you're looking for, this place is good.
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

We were in Art Room that really had specific character. Otherwise, the Hotel Promotes sustainability and is full of local artworks. The specialty of the place is inner courtyard, which is perfect for meeting new people! The place is also very close to main attractions and to the beach.
Everything was great! It’s in a great location, could be a little hard to find but we had a guide so was fine. House was really nice and the host was really accommodating for our arrival and checkout times.

Take note to close shutters and doors otherwise it will be noisy at night. Great location within walking distance of charming streets of Stone Town.
Great location in Stone Town, nice little place with just a few rooms. Clean and comfortable, nice little rooftop terrace with a view. Breakfast in the backyard was great, and the staff were helpful when we wanted to organise a day trip. Would definitely stay here again.
This property was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It had aircon in the main room and fans in the bedrooms. The breakfast was amazing and the whole stay was such good value for money for those on a budget. The staff were very friendly and looked after our bags while we explored the town.
The apartment was at a good location, very central. The owner was very good at communicating and helpful. The apartment was spacious and had a lockable drawer (a bit like a safe) in the twin room.
The owner arranged for their driver to take us to the airport at the end of our stay for 15USD, this was very helpful and handy as it was prompt. Having a fridge and good WiFi was very good.
