stayed here for three nights and it wasn’t enough. We absolutely fell in love with the place. The location is just so tranquil and Zen. Staff are amazing they are so helpful and super friendly. We ate here every night. One of us is a vegetarian and the food on offer was superior. we will definitely be back again next year. we had a lovely walk from here all the way to Paji. Had lunch on the way. Everywhere is reasonably priced and you don’t get ripped off. Taxi’s are very reasonable too.

Clean and social place, which allows you to have some fun or to spend your time in a quiet place to recover energies, located next to the beach and really close to the center of the local village ,Mohammed is a really attentive person who really understand the type of people which stays in Backapackers, I would truly recommend it and of course I would visit again.

Breakfast is good, and the coffee is tasty, but only when there’s electricity. When there’s no electricity, the breakfast options become very limited. You won’t get juice or coffee, and the tea selection is reduced to just one type — not even basic black or green tea was offered.
If you enjoy sleeping on a hard mattress, that’s a plus. Beyond that, I can’t say anything good about this place.

The location was in a typical village, which I thought had it’s charm! It is also just a couple of minutes walk to the Paje beach. The woman who welcomed us was extremely friendly, explained everything, even tried to speak a couple of words in Dutch to us haha. The room itself was very clean, nice, shower was good!

Good location, near to Paje beach as well as close to the main circle of Paje. You can get all kinds of transport to go either way of Paje, or to go to the airport / stone town. Nice homely stay experience. Do not expect hotel-like amenities. It is a simple homestay. Both the hosts, Axel and Sarah, are chill personalities. Sometimes, the neighborhood local kiddos visit this place. You can have a bit of fun time with them.
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Everything was perfect, its the best hostel ive stayed at, at this means a lot as ive stayed at over 100. Beautifull relaxed beach location, the vibe is great, close to page. Most of all, the staff is wonderfull, super helpfull, trustworthy and very very kind! I recomend it 100%. Its one of those places you could stay forever at, and really makes a huge difference to your stay in jambiani.
Great location directly at the beach. Nice beach, nice swimming pool. Good restaurant in the hotel and great cheap african restaurants very close behind the hotel. Very clean eberything, and friendly stuff, especially Lina. We liked the endless beach with a lot of great beach bars and restaurants nearby. The room is clean and the sunrise and ocean view is superb.

The Hostel has the best vibes if you are travelling as a backpacker. The rooms are comfortable with AC which is the most required thing in Zanzibar. The host is really nice and will help you in all manner possible. The pool is good to chill out in the afternoon and the beach is hardly 2 minutes away.
We booked for 3 nights and ended up staying over 2 weeks!
We got lucky to be there at the time the hostel guests formed a really nice group, but when when quieter this place felt like an oasis of peace, relaxation and perfect holidays. The swimming pool is a blessing at any time of the day or night, the breakfast was so delicious, the staff was very kind. The location, hidden from the busy and touristy Paje, was perfect as it felt like coming back home to a comfy place. Very cheap accommodation. Definitely the best hostel in Zanzibar for me!
The pool is the most beautiful I’ve seen so far, very design and breathtaking with a speechless view … same for the rooms , very splendid and unique , you can sleep with all the room open and just take a refresh in your private pool space… the food was AMAZING and cheap ! The personal is lovely and is really taking care of you … it’s a budget but it worth it

This Hostel is the best option for backpackers ,I was amazed at the beauty of the place,
it is completely on the sea with a beautiful view during sunrise, especially during the tides.
It is also close to the main road and almost all the activities that you are looking for in Zanzibar.
The staff are very friendly and nice, the food is delicious and the place is clean, very good price with free wifi and breakfast, the price is really cheap compared to the services.
I will go back soon ❤️
