Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

A big positive is that the breakfast, which is included, is very generous and not standardised so they come ask you what you feel like. Staff is friendly, they do their best to accommodate. The location is good and safe.
Warm-hearted welcome by the host Eric, he also helped us with bus ticket arrangements for our onwards trip - thanks again dear Eric!! cozy, family-like atmosphere in a house with terrace providing a beautiful view across the hills and the city; safe neighborhood within 15 minutes walking distance to town;
When I arrived at Emmys hostel I was warmly welcomed by Vanessa, Emmys Co-worker. She made me feel home immediately, we went for a drink and talks still at the very same evening of arrival. From there on Vanessa helped and accompanied me with many things and discoveries around Iringa. The place is lovely, I did not feel like in a hostel, but like being at home. Vanessa is caring very well for her guests, the atmosphere is very kind, the food was delicious, the place clean and the balcony with its view to the surrounding is lovely.
The hostel has a beautiful location with amazing view. We very much enjoyed the Terrasse, which is spacious and comfortable. Eric the host was fantastic and helped organize a safari trip and bus for us - again thank you so much for your time. Restaurants are in walking distance and we felt very welcome. Breakfast is self serve but well equipped with pans, toaster and coffee machines. Simple breakfast with eggs, toast and yoghurt. We had the single room which had comfortable beds and room to move
The location is fantastic. Only 10-15 min walk to the town but very quiet with a beautiful interior and amazing views from the terrace. It is very clean. Eric is very friendly and helpful if you need to book something or order a take away. Plenty of entertainment for kids if you need a bit of peace and quiet: playstation, pool table etc. Always available a nice bunch of people for an interesting chat. We really enjoyed our time in this hostel.
Emmy really does everything to make you feel at ease and have an excellent experience in Iringa. From cooking together to finding whatever you need in town to organizing trips to the surroundings, Ruaha NP etc. she helps with everything. The place is located in a wonderful, calm & green area of town & it really feels more like a home than a hostel. I had a wonderful time there and was almost sad to leave & continue my travels! I would really recommend it & it is also an excellent value for the price!
Eric the owner is a stand up bloke, accommodating and has done an amazing job with his hostel. Facilities are amazing, location central and wifi is included.
