Hostel itself is nice and clean, but about location around the lake, there are just two “cities” where honestly there is not much to do. You can rent a bike directly at the hostel for 200 NT$. Also mind that everything around the hostel closes very early (around 20:00)

The place is nice. The bed is comfortable to sleep with. Even shared bathroom, i must say, they maintain the cleanliness. The staff were accomodating even the communication via Line. They have free drinking water.

The hostel is great. There are so many things and facilities you can use. There is no staff on sight which was a bit strange in the beginning but was not a problem at all. You could ask any question via text and the owner was very helpful. He gave us important information for our hiking trip and was very friendly. We enjoyed our stay a lot. The dorms aren't the biggest rooms but they are clean and you have everything you need. Including reading lights, sockets to charge your phone and privacy curtains.
I would stay again and I highly recommend the hostel to anyone visiting Puli.

Beautiful hostel in a beautiful location. Really kind hosts, with adorable cats, and free bikes which is lovely to see the beautiful Puli. Super clean, and easily the best hostel I’ve stayed in. Rooms are soundproof - whilst I stayed a large group of cyclists were also staying, who I imagine headed off early in the morning (pre-8am), however I didn’t hear them leave at all. As a young female solo traveller, I felt safe and comfortable, and hope to be back.

This is one of the best hostels I have stayed in. The dorm beds were very spacious with individual AC for each capsule bed. There was a rooftop with views of the lake and the common areas were spacious. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
This is the best hostel I have ever stayed in Taiwan. The rooms are very clean and the equipment is very new. The hostel is diligent in updating the equipment. The sockets are of international voltage. It is recommended to anyone visiting Sun Moon Lake.
It was a good stay with a very good central location. It was quite cheap for the area & reception was quick & friendly.
The beds were a bit hard, but I slept ok. Would recommend for a backpacker or someone on a budget.

There is a family(conscience store) on the corner and it’s near the hotel too.
I can rent and return the charge box there.
At 10:00, people don’t chat in the room.
