Close too train station and bus routes and taxis. Staff at check in was very friendly and her English was very good!!! Rooms (construction core bunk beds) and facilities were exactly as in photos.. I really liked the card lock system for the entry and the lockers. Was very very quite during our stay, maybe it would be different in a busier time.

We stayed in May 2024 and really enjoyed our stay! The lady running World Inn is so friendly and welcoming it really made our stay! She gave us lots of helpful tips for places to eat and visit. We really enjoyed cycling along the coast and eating at the night market.
The hostel rooms aren't the biggest but they are clean and comfy, there are also lots of places to relax in the common areas. I would definitely recommend staying at this gem!

Location: a short walk in a straight line from the train station. Has 7/11, family mart, Dingo (Hualien's boba chain), a breakfast eatery, bicycle rental shop and even a live music bar (1709) very close by!
Host: super kind and hospitable Captain who will answer all your questions to the best of his abilities and give you plenty of recommendations! He made sure that we were safe during the earthquake and even brought us (me and some other guests staying at the time) out cycling the next day when most of the shops were closed.
Facilities: toilet is EXTREMELY clean, water pressure is somehow even better than my own home toilet in Singapore... bed is so comfy that I had trouble waking up each morning...

Best hostel I‘ve had yet in Taiwan. Comfortable beds, really clean facilities and a nice atmosphere. The cute cafe downstairs is totally worth the (a tiny bit) higher prices. I‘d even recommend that cafe to someone who‘s just visiting Hualien.
Spacious room. Curtains for the lower beds. Cozy atmosphere. Few types of tea available for the guests for free of charge. IKEA sharks as parts of decoration (joking but it was cute). Comfy armchairs in the common area. In general it was the best hostel during our 2 weeks trip around the island. Very good value for money.

Cozy little hostel with very nice and welcoming staff. The location in between the train station and city center makes it easy to get around. The price was absolutely fine, actually very cheap for the offered quality. Good common area downstairs.
