* Good location in central Postojna. It’s a 5 - 10-minute walk to the bus station, tourist office and 2 different supermarkets (one large, one small). It’s a slightly longer walk (15 - 20 minutes) to the train station but a taxi was affordable at around 10 Euros.
* Helpful and efficient staff.
* We arrived before check in time and were able to store our bags in a locked room in the hostel.
* The bedroom was clean and simply but comfortably furnished.
* We had a spacious, comfortable room with three single beds for 2 people.
* The room had a side table and a wardrobe.
* Towels and bedding were provided.
* The bed was comfortable and each bed had its own reading light and power point for charging electronics.
* The bathrooms were exceptionally clean with good water pressure in the shower.
* There was a small, really well appointed communal kitchen on our floor with a full sized fridge, cooking and re-heating facilities, a kettle, and plenty of plates, glasses, cups and other kitchenware.
Note: the hostel is also live in accommodation/a boarding school for local students aged around 15+ who are studying nursing, forestry or carpentry. This means the hostel is full of young people from Monday to Friday and they then go home each weekend. It was a busy place during the day and early evening but there’s a fairly strict curfew which the kids seem to adhere to so it’s quiet and easy to sleep at night. And I know I’ve said it already, but the hostel is impeccably clean and tidy. I was really pleasantly surprised since it’s a boarding school full of teenagers but it was genuinely cleaner and tidier than most other hostels I’ve stayed at over the years and the facilities and rooms were great. I would very happily stay at this hostel again.

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Everybody was very friendly and helpful, we brought pled a nice double room with own bathroom . If you like to cook yourself … there is a little kitchenette in the hostel, but we booked the dinner (4 courses by Jure the chief). This was a very good decision- we also booked the breakfast the next morning. We were very satisfied - don’t expect a restaurant….its just the chief (and boss ) and yourself at a table on the porch…very good atmosphere and very good dinner.
Perfect location to visit Skocjanske Jame, only a few minutes away by car. The room was quite big. We booked one family room but there were two seperated bedrooms which share one entrance, so it was safe and comfort at the same time to stay with children. We arrived late and could eat in the restaurant of the hotel for the cheap price. It was good because it's a small village and there're no other restaurants, no shops in the near.
We opted for the tent rental, it was equipped with a very nice matress and a night torch, it was extremely hot so it was great we could use a pool ( small, garden option but still a nice touch), very nice interior of the hostel, option of ordering a meal ( very simple but nice), good breakfast, very friendly and helpful hosts, perfect location for Skocjan caves , great option for budget travelling
The hostel is in a great location, close to the caves and the Skočjan itself, where there is an excellent restaurant. The room facilities were simple but sufficient. We paid extra for the breakfast from local products. The hostel has a garden where you can relax. There is a communal kitchen with utensils as well. You can walk from the train station to Divača, but it is possible to book a local taxi.
The location is great - 200 meters from the entrance to Skocjan Caves. You can park the car right outside and there is a small garden to hang around. Room is very small and there were only bunk beds, but this is a hostel. There was great working air condition and wifi in the room. The breakfast and dinner were absolutely fantastic and worth their price. One of the best small hostels I've ever been to.
Very nice hostel, with the caves at just under 5 min walking distance. The staff, the food, the wonderful scenery - it all was superb. Best hostel on our interrail trip so far.

- very close to the cave entrance. Make sure you walk up for 10min to explore Skocjan and Betanj. Tiny villages but pretty and both have amazing viewpoints.
