Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
The owners are the two kindest souls I have ever come across. They pour their heart into their hostel and looking after those staying there.
I could see the beautiful lake from my window and the room was quite old but kept extremely well and clean.
The kitchen is also extremely clean and very well equipped.
The bus stop for Dalhalla is about 2min walk away, you can see it from hostel's windows.
Great location overlooking the lake and pretty close to Rattvik. Cozy cabin was very clean and had all the basic amenities you would want. Communication with the hosts was easy and quick. Cleaning wasn't included but we were able to arrange for it for a reasonable price.
The property was safe, clean and cozy. The staff member at reception was great, they really helped me out with getting to Dalhalla because I was unprepared, with no transportation pre-booked. Much appreciated that they went beyond what was their responsibility to help me out.
We wanted to stay in the town of Rattvik and this seemed like a good choice for our party of 4. We are well past the youth hostel stage in our traveling, but our quad room was perfect for our one night stay. There were many Swedish families and adults staying there and the experience was way better than we feared from a "hostel". Highly recommend it.
For a hostel this was exceptional. Great breakfast and very near the Gammelgard where the midsummer celebration took place. Our room had well equipped kitchenette and comfy beds. Large bathroom too.
It is a nice and cheap accommodation in a quiet location. The rooms are very simple. Toilets and showers are clean. I found the check-in and check-out process pleasant.
