Looking for a hostel?
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

I loved this hostel. The best of all ,among over 40. I was upgraded to a 2 bed- room , Ibwas offered sauna( which was great) . On the next day the breakfast was so complete! Amazing and good quality food very well preprared.Gluten - free options as well. Location is not the best but safe and only 80 metres from the free Transfer bus ( take it at the train station).

--The location is just beside camp Ripan and you can access ski centre and do skiing. Northern lights can be seen from the window of the room or just within a 200 meters walk. -- double sharing room has a private toilet and adjacent kitchen area and sauna access with full equipped kitchen utensils. --Budget friendly hostel type but comfortable accommodation provided with clean linens. --Morning breakfast was sufficient and good. --600 meters walk from localtraffik and important buss stop OK PARKEN!

Very cheap stay, nice location, all necessities were there. Breakfast was really really good and we also had lunch at the restaurant once, it was delicious!

Absolutely fantastic breakfast, friendly staff. The hotel/hostel is in the old center. That means that it had a good location when I was there (August 2023) but also that there is no point in renovating anything. That said, the accomodation is cheap but worth its money and more. I'd go there again.

Great location, cheap stay for the area, clean rooms. Awesome view, sauna, and lot of other facilities - snowboarding, dogsledding, etc. Highly recommended!

Excellent hostel, everything was great. I arrived at midnight but they left my key in a safe space so I could enter without issue. The beds are comfy enough, and there's a sauna for relaxation. Also, perfect restaurant, even though it's a bit pricey, but it's understandable for the region and quality of food.

For those who arrive for the first time in Kiruna, the hostel is extremely well-positioned, in the centre of the old Kiruna found in deep transformation, thus everything is easy to reach by foot. The hostel has a good restaurant, that could become a reference point also for lunch and dinner. Friendly staff, clean rooms. However, it is a hostel, which means shared bathrooms. Good value for money, for those travelling with not such a big budget.

The place is called a youth hostel but the room has basic hotel standard, which is not uncommon in the Nordic countries. Everything in the room functioned properly. The house in which the room is located also has a common living room and kitchen which you can use if you want to hang out with company and/or make your own food. The breakfast is served in the main building of the school, on the second floor where you have a beautiful view over the city and the mountain range beyond it. Breakfast buffet includes fresh bread and fruit.
