Stefan is very kind and funny. You don't feel as a stranger at all. It's a beautiful and nice atmosphere. And it's very good located. You can easily walk to a supermarket or the ferry.

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
A hostel in a monastery?! Worth staying for that alone. The staff was very accommodating, the hostel was clean, there’s free breakfast, and it’s close to the city center.
The hostel is brand new. Everything is new, clean, tidy and modern. The kitchen is well-equipped. The owners are very friendly and helpful. I am also glad to find a female dorm with the bathroom inside the room. They even have an extra toilet so you have 2 toilets for a room of six. It also has a good location, 5 minute walk to the supermarket and bus station. The port is also nearby. I forgot to mention that the hostel has a back yard and wonderful views. One side you can see mount Pico and the other is Sao Jorge island.
It’s a great location if you are "surrounding" Pico Island. I had a spacious double room with a fantastic sea view. The owner and his family are very nice and helpful.
Very good hostel for visiting Ponta Delgada downtown and stay in a friendly environment. The cheapest solution and staff available to support your requests, breakfast is a basic one but it's enough in my opinion
Beautiful big historical building left almost untouched when transformed into a hostel. All the spaces were very clean. The reception was open until late and available for any information. Breakfast was simple but fresh.
