Looking for a hostel?
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

We really liked the vibes of the hostel. The people who are running the place are taking care of their guests and trying to be part of it. There is a food truck in front of it, which has very nice food and its perfect for meeting people, relaxing or just enjoy the moment. So we totally recommend it, for people who want the whole experience!

Cottage in a great location with a beautiful view of Faja Grande, the ocean and of course the Monchique rock. Veronika, a great caretaker of guests. Thanks to her, our stay was successful and stress-free, because contact with the owner is very difficult.

The Vibe. The only hostel in the Azores that I found that had a real hostel vibe. It‘s great located. All hiking trails start in Faja Grande. Waterfalls are walkable.

I liked the old style and feel of it. There were a lot of traditional characteristics that added to the charm! The location was also great for swimming in the sea, waterfalls, and some delicious places to eat! I really lucked out staying at this place, great roommates, great hosts, great weather, yummy cocktails and just good vibes. Family feel, secure, safe, everyone talks to each other! It was wonderful!

The Pink House hostel just opened its doors to guests but it already is on par with some of the best hostels I stayed in. Staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. Big thanks to Jabez, Anneleize, Nikunj and Marita. The location in Faja Grande is perfect, they even offer an airport pick up service.
