Excellent value for money. Centrally locationed. Quiet and safe street. Cafes 1 minute walk away. Host was available and responsive. Room was spacious, beds confortable and bathroom facilities good. AC in the bedroom.
I've stayed at HI Youth Hostels in Portugal many times. I had been in this one in Abrantes once before. It was fine, on par with the others. But this time, the beds were so much more comfortable! It used to be my biggest complain. I wonder if they're upgrading all of them... Also, the breakfast was tastier than before (delicious homemade cakes!)
The hostel is very nice, and the staff were extremely kind and welcoming. We were impressed with how clean it was, and the breakfast was't bad at all for a simply hostel breakfast. The room temperature at night was perfect and the beds were comfortable.
Great location in the historic centre of Abrantes. Sympathetically restored town house with a well equipped shared kitchen and lovely outdoor space. Generous sized room with private bathroom.
