Fable Hostel, hotel in Dumaguete

Comfy beds, great A/C, lockers, amazing common area, organized hostel dinners, incredible staff, felt like a little family while I was there. Shoutout to hostel staff member Rachel for being awesome (she never gets the credit, because she’s from Reading). The weekend nights out for dinner, drinks and JJs were epic.

Located in San Juan, Blue House Backpackers Siquijor offers beachfront accommodations a 2-minute walk from Solangon Beach and has facilities like a garden, a private beach area and a shared lounge.

Stayed for almost 2 weeks here and had a great stay. Internet connection was fast and good, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. They helped me a lot with the itinerary and it was just a great place to relax in after a day of exploring. Common area was the perfect spot to unwind and socialize, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure everybody felt at home. :)

I booked one night in the dorm and one night in a private en-suite. The dorm was very good, with lots of safe storage space under the bed, and more space at bed level to have my luggage. There was even a rack to hang a towel or fabric for some privacy. No issues with mosquitoes in the dorm, probably because it has AC and a fan. I loved the style of the hostel. Bed was very comfy. Breakfast in the cafe next door was very nice. Close to lots of nice restaurants. Staff was useful. Would love to stay there again.

I liked the whole vibe and aesthetic of the hostel. I stayed in the bunk beds and it was okay. They put me in a 6 bed instead of the 10 bed because the AC in the room was broken. It may be better if there was a curtain for each bunk for privacy. There's a little storage, lamp and power socket for each bed. The restaurant is great! I didn't have the chance to try the food but I did try their coffee and pastry (which is 40% after 6PM) and it was really good! I highly recommend the restaurant for it.
