Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
It was a great stay here, the vibes are on point. I really liked the free booze, and the owner is really cool. Beds and bathroom where alright, it's to be expected from a hostel. No complains though, slept like a baby.
Its a great place to stay they had the cheapest dorm rooms with air-con I was at another place with a fan room but this place gave me aircon dorm for the same price. The beds all had privacy curtains which I really liked. The dorms were clean they were quite full but I guess thats why they are a little cheaper. Overall it was a great stay I extended for a week....day by day just chillin, we met there every night for a happy hour and meeting point on the roof top for a free happy
I had a great time at Screaming Gecko they had a free rum happy hour which really helped everyone get together I also booked a 3 day 2 night tour from Coron to El Nido and got a discount from them since I was staying in the Hostel. Its got a great roof deck to chill out in the day and the staff were great. It is a peaceful place. The hostel is near the Kurida Bar it is just 2 minutes walk.
This place is a true gem, one of the best we have stayed in during our 1 month trip in Philippines.
The staff is great, the meals are cheap & so tasty. The atmosphere was amazing. Yes it is a bit far from Coron Town but that's what makes it so special & the reason why they are able to offer less touristy activities that you might never hear of if you only stay in Coron Town. That's a place I will recommend to any friend planning to visit Philippines.
