I stayed in a single cabin and it was very nice and cozy. Clean and the bed was so comfortable. I enjoyed using the yoga deck after my walk from Anchorage. So nice that the end of the Abel Tasman track ends right next to the Barn. The staff were so helpful, they even arranged for a shuttle to come get me at the barn and take me to my water taxi. I would definitely stay here again!

The view was absolutely breathtaking. Jean is a fantastic host! We were arriving later than expected and she went in and turned on the heat and the lights to ensure it was comfortable when we arrived. Jean also came down to meet us the following day to ensure we got there safely and that we had everything we needed. Absolutely stunning property, incredibly clean and tidy, homely, friendly animals, beautify maintained, 10/10.
Perfect for a family on a budget. It’s a hostel with heaps of character, awesome owners , very friendly, perfect location, comfortable room, hot showers, and good kitchens with all you need to cook your own meals.
