Looking for a hostel?
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Clean and tidy, amazing hosts. Great value. It’s not a backpackers anymore and has 3 rooms in a nice building with shared kitchen and lounge facilities. Perfect place to spend two nights while exploring Arthur’s Pass.

Felt like home but in the beautiful Otira area close to Arthur’s pass. Clean, funky, hospitable but non intrusive hosts. More like a bnb than backpackers lodge. Private clean rooms and extra cosy! We loved this place.

So beautiful and SO much better than the photos. Was like a high-end BnB rather than hostel vibes. Also the bed was the comfiest I’ve ever slept in! Wish I was there longer.

Friendly owners. Great location. Stunning views. The whole house was surrounded by forested mountains. Clean and tidy house. Comfy bed.

The location surrounded by mountains but the property needs a lot of maintenance, door knobs almost falling off, taps leaking, smoke alarm went off 3 times the night I stayed. Bed was comfortable and the only guy doing everything was great, good hearty meals on offer. But in my opinion very overpriced compared to other places I’ve stayed on this trip, even backpacker lodges! I won’t stay again.

Our stay here was a once in a lifetime experience. A great host; huge comfy 4 poster bed in a spotlessly clean room (number 9); so many interesting things to look at; very good food; cheap drinks; friendly fellow guests all determined to enjoy their stay. Cannot fault this place.
