Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Heat had been turned on, so it was pretty warm when we arrived. In addition to the room heater, there was a bathroom heater and a heated towel rack, so we were very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and modern. Plenty of parking, not too tight. Great location.
Great location overlooking the lake. Close to wineries and the lovely Bannockburn pub! The spa was lovely after a long day travelling. Bed was very comfortable!
An older venue, but clean and maintained well. Budget friendly accommodation. The hot water was great and enjoyed the showers, as we stayed in the peak of winter. Appreciated the kitchenette and the coffee plunger thrown in!
Gaylene allowed us early arrival as we had a family funeral to attend.
The room was the perfect size and very comfortable.
Great location, and accessible to the township.
Plenty of parking.
comfortable bed, great kitchen, newly renovated/up-to-date bathrooms, felt very safe as well. Great location, very quiet but within 10 min drive of the shops.
Modern and cozy hostel located 7 min driving from Cromwell to Wanaka. The common areas are big, Kitchen is full equipped , showers and toilets where clean. We stayed on the 6 girl bunk bed and the room is big. Luckily me and my friend were the only ones for the night. The night was really cold but the place is warm and they have extra blankets for those that need. Overall it was a good place to stay the night. My fav part is George the dog! such a lovely Labrador ready to cuddle.
