Hostel Swastik, hotel in Bhaktapur

Hostel Swastik is located in Bhaktapur, less than 1 km from Bhaktapur Durbar Square and 12 km from Patan Durbar Square. The property features a bar, as well as a restaurant serving Nepalese cuisine.

A very nice hostel, as we would have in Europe: a place where people go to be together, to meet other travellers. The owner and the staff are very welcoming, can give good avice, and they would always take time for you. The owner is nepali, and very open-minded, I highly appreciated that we could talk a lot about nepali culture, and being able to ask any question I would have. I would be happy to go there again, maybe to volunteer next time ;) The dorms are nice, equipped with lockers, and the private room that I had for one night was also very nice.

The BEST hostel experience I've had! - Good price 💸 - Hot/cold Water free Refill 💧 - Good breakfast 🍳 - Friendly and fun staff 👨‍💼👩‍💼 - Great building, rooms and beds Don't miss out on a fun time meeting wonderful people. They really have put a lot of effort and thought into making it a special experience that shows the possibilities of what fun hostels can be I ended up cooking for the whole hostel when asked to cook my favourite dishes with help, they bought all the ingredients Everyone that visits seems relaxed and always up for chatting, or plan group hikes.

Best Hostel, hotel in Kathmandu

Located in Kathmandu, 3.7 km from Hanuman Dhoka, Best Hostel provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

The place radiates warmth and positive energy, making it the perfect escape. The rooms are spacious, and the vibe is both relaxing and rejuvenating. What truly sets this place apart is the restaurant—every dish I tried was exceptional, meeting Western standards in both taste and presentation. Over my 10-day stay, I explored the menu extensively, and it consistently exceeded expectations. The staff embodies hospitality at its finest, with a special mention for Santoshi. She is the heart and soul of the place—her warmth, enthusiasm, and vibrant energy create an atmosphere that feels like home. I originally planned to stay for three days but found myself so drawn to the good vibes and genuine care that I couldn’t resist extending my stay. It’s a place you won’t want to leave.

Hotel Sisters Home, hotel in Kathmandu

Hotel Sisters Home has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Kathmandu.

Our stay here with my family was par excellence. The name "Hotel Sisters Home" justifies it's name because the moment we stepped in we were warmly welcomed by the proprietor of the property, Mrs. Limbu who is a jewel of a lady who left no pebbles unturned to ensure our stay here was comfortable and homely. The room was very spacious and the bed linens were sparkling clean. The breakfast they served was amazing and topnotch. The icing on the cake was the location in the heart of Thamel. So if you're looking for a pocket friendly place with good food, a clean and hygienic stay, a perfect location and an excellent host, don't hesitate to book this property.

Thamel Hotel & Spa, hotel in Kathmandu

Featuring a shared lounge, a terrace as well as a bar, Thamel Hotel & Spa is located in the centre of Kathmandu, 1.7 km from Hanuman Dhoka.

The staff were lovely, I had such a wonderful perception of this place! It's a very well maintained place... Until nighttime. I was in a 4bed with 3 men (I'm a young woman). A 60+ senior, a man in his 30s, and an apparent 'child' in his 20s. They took snoring to a new level of the word, actual hurricane. I endured it for about 2 hours, and then decided to treat it LIKE AN ACTUAL HOSTEL. Sometimes people speak quietly, meditate, read, watch movies at a low volume, etc. when other customers are keeping them awake all night. I WAS ATTACKED TWICE. The 20 year old got so VIOLENT and aggressive, actually shouting at me, smashing on the cupboard- I mean, no over-exaggeration. He was violent.... Then, after letting him stay peaceful, the 60+ year old man actually shouted into my personal bed for me to turn my movie lower... AT THIS POINT THE OTHER GUY WAS SNORING LIKE A MONSTER AND THE YOUNGER MAN HAD ALREADY ASSAULTED ME. My movie was on so quietly I could barely hear it. I endured their abuse for around 10 minutes more (Sat in terror, absolute panic), and then I lost it. I made all the men leave (expect the melanin/black 30-something year old who didn't assault me). Because, if I had witnessed this happen to someone else, another young female, I would have stood up for her. Atrocious.

Great location and great vibe. I met a lot of interesting people at Hostel Swastik that went on to become good friends. The staff are helpful and Bishwo the owner is a really great guy with interesting projects ongoing. I will never stay anywhere else except here whenever I'm in Bhaktapur.

Great location next to the main square, friendly and welcoming staff, spacious comfortable room with attached bathroom. Excellent value for money. Good food (cheap too), though it took us a day to realise that they operate as a restaurant too, they are so laid back and unassuming!

Super cozy and friendly hostel in a great location. Bishwo, the owner is very helpful and knows a lot about the area. He helped me with my indian visa and recommended the best local restaurants and places to go in Bhaktapur as well as outside the city. The hot showers work very well and the beds are comfortable. Furthermore you can use the rooftop terrace of the guesthouse just across the streets for some amazing sunset.

I loved the atmosphere at Swastik hostel. It's a small hostel, but it has a range of different rooms and a guesthouse with private rooms nearby. The people are very chill, spontaneous and hospitable. I felt taken care of, safe and never lonely. We discovered new parts of Bhaktapur every evening for the Dashain festival and really got the local experience thanks to the host, Bishwo. And I still feel like there is loads to discover. I will be back! 😀
