Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
I’ve been to a lot of places and this hostel is the best one I’ve ever stayed in , hosts are so nice , the place is really clean and well put together and really feels like home
Very good located up on the hill exactly above Tofo beach, good wifi, very nice hosts, kitchen is well equipped, clean place and an adorable dog and cat.
I felt like in a big family. The place is also very cheap, so I highly recommend it.
Great location right on the beach with a stunning view from the pool and restaurant. Very professional set up for diving. The rooms are very basic but comfortable. Breakfast portions and choices were good.
A backpackers heaven, made from backpackers! Chris and Sasha established a jewel in Tofo. 2 minutes to the beach, 3 minutes to the village center where you get all the necessities you need.
You get a discount at one of the dive centers when you stay there. The kitchen is probably the best in whole Africa. Everything is clean and there's so much heart in every little detail.
You would miss the best time of your life if you're not staying there
Baia Sonambula was amazing! The guesthouse was incredibly beautiful, and located right on the beach. The facilities were top notch, and staff very helpful and friendly. The room I stayed in was absolutely beautiful, with a private terrace. Baia Sonambula offered a bit of privacy and a safe haven to relax at Tofo beach. I would definitely stay here again, very much worth the price. The amazing breakfast, complimentary coffee, and available filtered drinking water on offer were a great addition.
Amazing place. It was low season, so there were not too many people staying. I was fine with that. I was there for diving. It is a 20min walk to town, but it's not as bad as many say. And I walked on my own during the day and night and felt safe. In fact, the people there are helpful.
The food was good. Thanks to the staff there. Good hospitality. 👍🏼
Fantastic place, great location and great energy!
Really enjoyed the pool, yoga, walks on the beach and the amazing food from the chefs. The whole of Tofo and Kumba Lodge is very safe.
A special thanks to all the staff especially Ruben, Freddy, Jose who makes this place a vibe. The music, the service, the food, we will definitely be back!
It's a backpackers hostel frequented by people of all nationalities, friendly and relaxed atmosphere where it is very easy to chitchat or make new friends. The place is literally adjacent to a surf shack where you can rent boards receiving a discount as Pariango customers and also it is extremely easy to get to places such as the market, the beach or clubs. Also the bus stop is just 200m from it.
The hostel has a great location. There is a lot of space to hang out in the garden. The staff is very friendly. The other guests were sociable and there was a great vibe in the place. The kitchen is well equiped.
