This is probably one of the nicer places in town. The town is so dirty, so I was worried when first arrived. But when I got into the Cube, I was relieved. Smells good, friendly people, lockers available, WiFi works perfectly. Supermarkets are very close. Dorm room was not fully booked, so I had a good night's rest.

I had a great stay at Island backpackers in a private room and extended a few times. Bed was comfortable, room was clean. Free breakfast of toast, spreads, boiled eggs & bananas was more than many hostels. The place is basic, but it does the job if you’re hoping to do diving / snorkeling day trips.
Great location and super comfy, I felt safe and at home. Semporna isn’t the most charming of towns, but Amazing Rooms played a big part in making my visit to Semporna amazing! I hope to be back.
Amazing stay and comfortable bed. Friendly staff and delicious breakfast. Liked this area more vs the waterfront. Very good value for money.

The staff is super friendly and helpful. The hostel is nice, everything you need/want for those prices. You can book different dive days trip in the hostel: cheap, good and EASY.
The hostel was great with arranging for a late airport pickup for much cheaper than anything else. Spent a night here before heading to Mabul Island and it worked out. It's amazing that they include breakfast for that price. The companies they recommend for tours and diving are good companies and the prices are amongst the cheapest in all of Semporna.
The private room was absolutely massive with good air con. We booked twin beds but both were really big. The receptionist Randy was really nice and super helpful! You can book tours through the hostel owner, and the marine park tour is a lot cheaper through the hostel than anywhere else in town. Great location as 5 minutes walk to the jetty for the island tours, and opposite a supermarket
I loved my stay here! The staff is really nice and really helpful, they book for you good tours for a decent price. The hostel itself is quite cozy and has a nice atmosphere, it has a homey feeling and the staff is always around to help you. I highly recommend this place cause you really get a bang for your buck, very cheap and exceeded my expectations, ive stayed in way more expensive places in Borneo that don’t even come near to the honesty of this place.
