The location near shops, restaurants, and beaches was perfect. The facilities were very clean and well-maintained (they clean the common area every 2-3 hours). For a clean freak, I enjoyed the smell of Dettol every 3 hours :). There was a spacious common area for everyone to relax and do their own thing in the evenings. Additionally, the place had a large, quiet coworking space, which was a bonus for working travellers. The staff are supper friendly and helpful aswell.

What a fab hostel! The staff were super friendly and helpful. The cleanest hostel we've ever stayed at and everyone was very respectful. Great common area to meet other travellers and a good setup for those wanting to work remotely. Great location - the night market is a must and the restaurant under the café was amazing for a cheap breakfast!

Great location and very clean. The AC in our private room was fantastic! The hostel itself had a really nice vibe for backpackers, there was a nice bar you could socialise in that was open late every night. June who runs the hostel was lovely and super helpful!
Really friendly staff and great facilities at amazing prices. The hostel is in a great location, close to shops, bars and the beach. They also offer scooter rental for very cheap! Would definitely recommend if visiting langkawi.

The hostel was a great location, close to the beach! It was good value for money and the private room was exactly what we needed for our time there (3nights). June was helpful - we booked the mangrove tour with him and would 100% recommend (it was interesting and good value) and the bar at the back of the hostel was also good and cheap drinks!

Cheerful, cheap,, near local cafes and near the beach.. The staff keep it really clean, the garden is beautiful with hammocks and cool cats. No better option than Gecko for backpackers on a budget.
Very friendly hosts. Common area was very cosy. Decently priced packages. Clean comfortable beds and clean showers. Safe spaces to store baggage and personal belongings. Strategic location, walking distance to Pantai Cenang and food stalls. Our first time trying a backpackers hostel and we were pleasantly surprised! Would recommend and come again the next time :)
