It’s labeled as a “bed and breakfast” but they only served coffee and tea in the morning. Not a big deal for us but would have been if we were counting on it. The room is very small but served its purpose fine. Not a lot of sound barrier so people up later in the evening and earlier in the morning talking were easy to hear. But people were overall respectful. The “private bathroom” wasn’t truly private. Shared with one other room. Wasn’t a big deal for us but I think that’s because the other room wasn’t occupied. It could have been a problem if we needed to shower quickly in the morning to get somewhere at a specific time, but we didn’t. You did have to leave your room and use a key to get into the bathroom. We also had to pay extra for 2 additional pillows (4 total) and for a blanket (our bed only had a sheet on it). It wasn’t a big fee, but I feel that having a blanket on a bed is pretty standard. Great stay for the price point, but if you want a true B&B with a true private bathroom, you might look elsewhere.

I liked the swimming pool layout, the guests, the staff, the bar downstairs, the location, I liked how close it was to the La Palapas park, I love fish and there's a place there that sells a nice fish dinner with rice for great value. I liked how central it was to everything, I took the bus to the beach. I liked that the crowd was more mature. I liked the cleanliness. I liked the bathroom.
Located in Isla Mujeres and within a 2-minute walk of Norte Beach, Itzé Hostel has a terrace, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property.
Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
There are reasons for my 1 star rating but first, the positives
I stayed in a 10-bedroom female dorm for 7 nights. It was clean enough, beds were comfortable and the bins were emptied regularly. The A/C in the room was awesome. A great relief from the heat. The bar a pool area was a nice hang out spot although a bit of an awkward space for group hang outs. The hostel was situated very close to beach access and the quick mart was across the road. Bus stops for both directions right outside.
Great location.
Lovely hostel, in a great location to nearby beaches and various shops/restaurants. Host is very attentive and always there to help if you need it. Would highly recommend for a peaceful stay in Cancún.
I feel super comfortable, too pleasant weather. The hostel promotes several socialization activities and happy hour is great for meeting people if you are alone. The rooms are always clean and the breakfast is very complete and delicious. Excellent location, you can do everything by walking. By far the best hostel I've ever stayed in! I recommend
Social aspect was amazing. Rooftop bar and regular activities allow you to easily meet new people and have a great time. Walking tour with Carlos, hostel beach days and beach parties at Coco Bongo were some of the cool things we did. Also very spacious and comfortable, which made the experience even better. Easily one of the best hostels I've stayed at and would 100% recommend.
If you are a budget traveller like me or you are looking for best hostel experience with the best host, this is the place.
Robert and Moshai, both the guys are amazing 👍
We were only
Here for 1 night due to a late arrival in Cancun. Our next stop was Valladolid.
This hostel was a perfect little oasis before carrying on. Walking distance to market in the morning and ADO bus stop. Really good (and cheap) food on the same street as property. Quiet, beautiful pool, very friendly staff and felt very safe.
great location - close to the beach and easy to reach other parts of the city (we travelled by bus because of big size of the family - fast, cheap and safe)
