Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
Very kind and friendly staff, gorgeous property with lots of lush greenery around, very clean rooms and a pretty decent breakfast. Very happy with our stay and will certainly return to this charming hostel :)
- The idea of using bungalows in a hostel is a completely new one to me. I found them very aesthetic and perfectly placed in the nature surrounding them
- Now that public transport is free in Luxembourg, you can definitely consider using Larochette as your base for visiting the rest of the country, even if you don't have your own car
- Check-in officially starts at 5 PM, but staff was very kind and allowed me to check in early
The staff was really friendly, everything was clean, the hostel is super close to the bus stop, overall it was a very enjoyable stay :) For the first night it was just me and my friend in our dorm which was really comfortable, 3 other girls joined us for the second night but we didn't have any problems! Bathroom was totally fine too (especially considering the fact it's shared), the shower works in kinda brutal way (and you have to press it every 30 seconds or something), I understand how it helps saving water though :')
I had one small room only for me. Before Youth Hotel Larochette, I slept in Luxemburg hostel, with 5 people in one room. I am too old for those attractions :-) I recomend this hostel.
