Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Dinuda is in a great location, not far from the sand bar with the sea on one side and the lagoon on the other. You can watch the kite surfers from the resort if you don’t want to venture out.
The rooms are lovely, big, bright and airy, very clean and comfortable. Lovely balcony with views out over the lagoon. There’s also a small pool, great to cool down in, and beautiful quiet gardens.
Loved the location, massive room with a huge balcony overlooking the ocean. We wake up to the sound of the wild birds and ocean waves bashing on the beach.
Good facilities with a big room and extra big bed. Lovely Sunset a around 530 - 6pm
Great location for kite surfing, excellent food and super friendly staff, lovely pool, we'll be back soon with our friends.
Well done Wellé Wadiya, keep up the great service! Al the best!
Great location and great property. It’s a great location for a group stay and is a beautifully designed space with good customer service and also good food.
Sabina and Avi are very sweet persons and make you feel home (they will also help you to organise any activities - thanks for the list of hotels and hostels in Colombo )! Kalpitiya and the bungalows on the sand made me chill down even more (is it possible when travelling in Sri Lanka ? the country with 0 stress 😀). The food is delicious and fresh.
In short I'd love to come again to spend a lazy week with a few dives.
Great location, and we chose a superior room which had a really great view of the lagoon. Pool area was very nice and staff were very friendly and helpful.
Such a lovely, relaxed spot. Owner is super lovely and has great information, recommendations and tips about things to do/transport around. He's always keen to help and checks in regularly with how your stay is going. Beds were super comfortable and they also do communal dinners at night which creates a more friendly, hostel vibe among the guests which is nice. Helped us organise a dolphin cruise with some other guests and we saw over 100 dolphins which was amazing! Fairly cheap to do as well.
The hostel is well equipped. There is drinking water provided and they have bicycles too.
The beds come with (much appreciated) mosquito netting. The owners went out of their way to help me. The beds are very comfy.
The place is very clean and well set-up. It is also really the only budget option in the area.
