The view was great from where we were, you're surrounded by trees and tea bushes
It's a little far from the city. But we had rented bikes, so it was the perfect combination. The drive up is nice and the road is great.
Even if you don't have your own transport, the owner can arrange for transport from the city.

Social hostel in central location. Great cooking class. Laundry service available and speedy. Tea and coffee available and you can buy beers / soft drinks in the social area. Comfy beds with mosquito nets. Staff incredible, we needed to go to the hospital one night and the host Gihan was so helpful and generous with his time. Many thanks Gihan and the team at Hive!

I had an amazing stay at Ella Kumi Hostel. The room was very clean with comfortable beds and towels and toiletries provided. The little terrace is very cozy to ist and enjoy the jungle sounds. It's a very quiet and peaceful place surrounded by beautiful nature, yet it's walking distance to Nine Arch Bridge and Little Adam's Peak and only a 10 minute tuk tun ride to town. The value for price is unbeatable as Dilan went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. He drove me anywhere I wanted with his tuk tuk, was very caring and helpful in organizing my trip and he provided free coffee/tea with cookies and bananas. I don't think I ever got this much value for money. And Dilan is just such a kind host and it was lovely chatting to him. He really puts a lot of love into his hotel. Highly recommend! Please stay with Dilan. You won't regret! Thank you for everything Dilan!

This is the best hostel in Ella for sure. The staff weee amazing. So friendly, especially Sanju owner. Really looked after us. Gave great recommendations on what to do and local tips. Omg the breakfast here is amazing. They change it everyday and personalise it each person. Free tea and coffee all day and free drinking water

I loved the beautiful view from the hostel. It is located about 10-15 mins from Ella city center, worth the little walk. The beds are perfect - curtains provide for absolute privacy, and I think the beds are a little wider than usual. There is a lamp and socket by each bed, and everyone has a big storage to lock personal things, my onboard size suitcase fitted in it easily. The bathroom is ok. I also appreciated the possibility to get hot water any time from the machine by reception, to make a hot drink. The breakfast included in the price is definitely sufficient. Great value for money.

For the price you really can't complain. It has a large double bed and a shower room for cheaper than a hostel.

The best hostel from Ella 👑 Fantastic place to stay near Ella with hosts that are extremely friendly and helpful. The nine arch bridge is very close to the accommodation. The room was spacious. Breakfast was one of the best 💚💚💚 Thanks soo much!
Owner is just the nicest. I stayed 2 nights and spent my first one in the dormitory. On the second night I was suppose to be alone with 4 boys and owner just made me move to the private room (no extra charge!) because we wanted me to feel safer.
