Seriously the best hostel I stayed so far in Sri Lanka. The breakfast alone makes the price well worth it - 4 options to choose from, juice, and a good coffee (cappuccino or americano). Very clean, super nice staff, comfortable beds, great location right off the Main Street and a short walk to the beach! Book before it sells out :)

I originally came from lost hostels in weligama and was incredibly excited to stay at lost in Arugam bay. The team here is sooooo great!! Just located on the main road and the the centre of Arugam bay. The ambience around the property is nice and safe to be around. Transportation is also convenient. The host Manas was superfriendly and helpful. Overall best hostel if you are a budget traveler.
Agra is the best hostel in Arugam Bay. Nalaka is such an amazing host, he gets to know everyone in the hostel and makes it feel like a home. The breakfast and coffee is 10/10 and the family dinner on a Friday is a great way to meet everyone. It’s a lovely chill but social vibe. I loved it so much I came back a second time for a week.
Big, comfortable and impeccably clean rooms. The accomodation was in a great location just across the road from the beach. Quiet at night and welcoming to all types of travelers from backpackers to families. The cleaning staff went above and beyond to make our room comfortable. I always rate accom very high when they provide water, and these guys did. Helps with the massive issue of plastic pollution- especially at the beach. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
Little lagoon hostel was the perfect little get away at the end of Arugam bay. Great location and a wonderful part of Sri Lanka. The owners and staff were extremely nice and even gave us a little gift because we were on our honeymoon. which was extra lovely :)
Definitely worth a visit if your in Arugam Bay.
Cute resort hidden amongst a beautiful garden. The rooms are spacious and have AC which is important in the hot conditions in Aragum Bay. The pool was big enough but could have been a little colder.
Great location amongst all the main restaurants but also had its own cafe which served barista made coffee.
The staff were very attentive and kind. The manager (whose name I forget but he wore glasses) was very welcoming, helpful and spoke fluent English.
Tried the new spa massage which was very relaxing and relatively cheap.
this new hostel is super clean and has a fresh decor. the evening events bring a nice social vibe to it, with an outdoor cafe and drinking area. the cocktails are some of the best i’ve had in arugam bay plus super cheap if you get the happy hour deal.
i really recommend this place as the staff are lovely and the location is right next to the beach/town
This hostel is wonderful. Very peaceful, you can hear the waves from your bed and go and see the sunrise every morning. Great location.
The food is also very good, I loved my free breakfast hehe, the fruit pancakes are great!!

My best hostel on my trip through Sri Lanka. Nalaka and his crew are great hosts. The included breakfast is delicious and they will help you find tours, surf lessons or onward travel. Great little social hostel. I extended several times because I enjoyed the hostel-vibe and arugam bay totally.
Agra hostel is one of the best hostel i stayed in while traveling for over 7 weeks in Sri Lanka. The owner is one of a kind and made such good memories that will stay for life! The dorms are clean and the beds are really comfortable, close to the main road and the beach but still quiet so you can enjoy your rest after a long day of enjoying Arugam Bay.

I loved the low key location away from the hustle and bustle. It was only 10 mins walk into town and with bicycles provided aswell as a travel option it was well worth it to stay here.
The staff are all very lovely and love a chat. They kept the space very clean and cozy for all of us staying there. It felt like a home rather than a pit stop which I loved. I’d most definitely look forward to coming back on my future trips!
