Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
The staff was really kind! Despite the language barrier, they always tried to help me out and were overall very friendly.
The hostel is also in a convenient location. It's really close to the Suncheon Intercity bus terminal, so it's easy to get to.
Also, the hostel itself was nice! I think it felt pretty roomy compared to some other guesthouses I have been in Korea, and I guess I also went during off-season because there weren't many people so I ended up having the room to myself for most of the nights.
Close to the railway. The city centre is a 30 minute walk, but there's a bus stop around the corner with buses going to all the major attractions in the area, so it's very conveniently located. There are convenience stores and a few cafes around, but not much else. The room (bed in a 4 bed dorm) was small, but the bed was comfortable and everything was clean. It didn't feel like there was anyone else staying in the place so it was very quiet. There's nothing expectional about the place, but it's clean, safe and cheap.
This hostel is so adorable - the owners were so friendly and sweet, it’s been decorated with a huge amount of thought and consideration and I think it has the nicest communal space of any hostel I’ve stayed in in many months of travelling.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Jin at the front desk also called the medical clinic for us when I injured my back lifting a heavy suitcase. She also showed us a great 24 hour place to eat while we stayed in Suncheon. The room was very clean and modern. The hotel is in a great location being 4 minutes walk from the train station.
Everything was as advertised. Good washing machine in each room (B1 & B2, ground floor). Free detergent. Very pretty rooms. Car park off road in front of each room. Good free wifi. Lots of power points etc. If you have a car it's a great location for herbing off in mornings to the gardens, wetlands, down to Yeosu Island or west to Boseong tea fields etc. is a small convenience store literally a hop, skip and jump away. Few restaurants within a km or two. Very close to Suncheon Wetlands.
Very clean and tidy hotel/hostel and room; close to the main railway station and bus stations; very friendly and helpful stuff; convenient stores and restaurants around corner; (Disclaimer: I am from Germany, not from French Guinea.)
Great location close to the train station and some bus stations which are deserved by the more touristy buses. Also: a 15 min walk to a giant emart (think Target/Walmart), a 17 min walk from a laundromat, 30 min walk to bus terminal (but you can use the bus to get to the above if you don’t enjoy walking).
A free breakfast is included, there is a cosy rooftop available and a large game room on the third floor which has a lot of board games (and a computer if you need to check emails).
