Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
A hostel with more natural space than the average. Backpacker’s hostel has multiple options for accommodation such as private rooms, family rooms and soon to have camping tents. This hostel is a nice mix between camping yet with access to restrooms, a restaurant, bar and assistance with jungle trekking or transportation services. A very relaxed and friendly environment ran by a lovely family who takes care of their community as well as their guests. Definitely recommend.
Amazing place to stay with a wonderful friendly family. Probably the best view in Ratanakiri overlooking the protected jungle around the crater lake. Large inexpensive rooms- very comfortable and quiet. Rina cooked superb, healthy food with no MSG often using fresh organic ingredients from the area. Pon is a great guy and has long experience working with backpackers, taking them trekking etc.
The room it's clean comfortable to stay it's nice to chill quiet place owner very friendly and kind very helpful and the room very cheap nice view just feel like home
Not gonna lie, the best backpackers hostel i have ever stayed in. Puthea does everything to make your stay most comfortable. He organised a great trekking tour in the jungle for me and also a wonderful daytrip to the waterfalls around Banlung. Great food, good prices and great support in everything a traveller needs.
True homestay experience. Amazing food cooked by the wife of the host. Eating meals together with other cool backpackers that shared the house. Evenings spent with Pu Thea's children doing homework. Great bikes to rent, in superb condition. Unforgettable view from a hamak hanging in front of my bungalow. Also, last but not the least amazing trekkings through the jungle that are organised here.
Mr Happy the owner is amazing to help plan trecks, bus, taxis, very nice and helpful. The location is in a small local street which makes the hostel perfect. Be aware that the bathroom is quite old school, but it's really clean so nice!
Super friendly family, excellent food shared with the family, super cheap accommodation.
After 7 months travelling, this is the first time a guesthouse is really a guesthouse.
Really nice wooden bungalow, a bit outside the city. It's actually well build so there is a real private bathroom, the room is large enough, and you can relax on the porch. The environment is quite quiet, and the bungalows are surrounded with a nice garden so it feels cosy.
You can eat at their restaurant just down, it's pretty cheap but it's only one hotpot so It's really nice the first time, then it gets repetitive. The owner is really nice.
Pu Thea and his family are really lovely and organized everything for us. They offer a really amazing and cheap breakfast and a really delicious dinner each day. Pu Thea also gave us nice advice for the region. He organises nice multiday trekking tours, rents out reliable and cheap scooter and motorbikes and can book you good buses. He also took us to a concert which was happening in the city. Don't hesitate to come here. You will have a great time, meet friendly people and you won't find a better value for your money.
It s really nice hostel and nice family, and you can have a really cheap dinner.i recommend it.
