Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Great location within walking distance of the international port terminal and the train station. Lovely staff. The room was small but comfortable and quiet.
Check in was easy. Nice owner. They converted an old house into a hostel, with a fully stocked N64. Heater worked well on a cold night. Had covered parking for my bike. Had signs directing how to get to the place since Google gives the wrong directions.
The terrace on the last floor offers an amazing view on the sea.
The bed was comfortable, the bathroom and shower were clean and spacious.
There is a bus stop right in front of the hostel which is quite convenient as it is a bit far away from Shimonoseki main station
very peaceful area
I booked the private room with two bunk beds. The view was absolutely amazing!! Great value for money and friendly staff. On top
if that a nice rooftop terrace.
Host Keiko-san is not only super efficient but also incredibly warm and kind, making sure we are safe and helping with where we need to go/do. We felt more like visiting a friend than staying at a guesthouse. The house was also beautiful, tastefully furnished and super clean. Thanks again, Keiko-san!
