4S STAY Awaikeda ikedaonsenyoko, hotel in 徳島県三好市

4S STAY Awaikeda ikedaonsenyoko has air-conditioned accommodations in Miyoshi. The hostel provides a shared lounge.

I was in a small room with two beds but no roommate came. The actual "main" branch where the staff work and you check in is not the same as where I stayed. Mine was not staffed but about 1 minute on foot from the main branch. The place looked new, clean and quite stylish. It fit the vibe of the new, young entrepreneurs who want to revitalize small towns by making them more in their image. The building I stayed at had a small lounge shared by the people living there and while it had nice, brand new appliances, they had no real utensils or cups or anything like that. The main branch has a bar/café attached to it which is kind of why I missed it the first time I rode in front looking for my check in spot. The food there was very good and featured game meat - deer and boar to be precise. The staff were very friendly. Not sure about the owner's English as I spoke to him in Japanese.

BED N CHILL Shippoya 七宝屋, hotel in MItoyo

Located in Mitoyo, 27 miles from Liminal Air-core Takamatsu, BED N CHILL Shippoya 七宝屋 has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a bar.

The accomodations quarter itself is relatively new and modern, but it also has a bar in a traditional Japanese house. The facility is clean and it has everything (except for a kitchen, so you have to bring your own food). It is located in a quite area near rice paddies.

Great location to escape the city crowds. The private onsen was great for our family to enjoy the experience together rather than in the gender segregated public onsen. The food at dinner was high quality and authentic for the region. Close to some great nature. We went swimming in the river which was welcome after sweltering in the city for days. Facilities were great. Very clean. Attentive staff.

Totally cute traditional Ryokan with kitchen and several rooms. It feels a bit like a hostel but it is really charming because there are only Japanese houses around and gardens in a very rural area. Seems really authentic. Nice host and good standard!

The host is really kind. I reached Oboke station at odd hour when taxi booth was shut. He himself drove 12 Kms back and forth from the station to ensure I reach the hotel safely. He also arranged a taxi for sightseeing. The view from the window is breathtaking. It's walking distance from the oboke river and vine bridge. Couldn't have picked better accommodation.

Great location, super friendly and helpful staff, amazing city and region in general ! Highly recommended for travelers around Shikoku, this is a great spot to stay and organize day trips in the Iya area. If you stay there, make sure to try the restaurant / cafe Heso Salon as well ! Thank you so much, I hope to come back soon !

This place feels more like a share house, than a hostel. We enjoyed staying here so much that we even extended our stay. Train station is a max 10 min walk and you can use their bicycles for free. Kitchen is big and fully equipped and the communal space is very spacious with even space to hang our outside. Super lovely!

Great value, full hotel room for less than some hostel beds when on special. Nice onsen with outdoor bath, suana, and cold plunge pool. Restaurant has reasonably cheap meals available too.

Great location to visit Iya Valley (just need to catch the JR train a couple of stops to Oboke). Nice, traditional guesthouse 10 mins walk from town/train station. You can use bikes for free to ride into town (only 5 min ride to a big supermarket). Air-conditioning in the room and we also had a small balcony. Can use washing machine for free and we dried everything outside. Beds were fairly comfortable for Japanese style.

Great location, in a beautiful river valley. We had a car, so it was easy to drive to points of interest (vine bridges, mountain walks, mountain lookouts) and parking was available at hotel. Onsen was lovely - indoor and small outdoor onsen, gender separated. Facilities were clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Evening meals were set menu, multi-course and really interesting/tasty.
